Now, I know SLR camera bags are not really exciting. But I bet you have complaints about your bag, every time you take it out. It’s either uncomfortable to carry, or awkward to handle, or it is hard to get your stuff out, or it is too small, or too big. But it’s definitely something.
Why suffer? A new SLR camera bag could add a bit more enjoyment to an already enjoyable hobby. Now I know you ‘brand’ fanatics will tell me I didn’t include the ‘best’ bag in the world. But I’m only going to cover ‘generic’ bags so that you can find a bag that will work with your camera.
If you want a ‘brand’ bag, just find the bag you like below, and then locate the similar bag made by your brand (Although the Slingshot will be hard to match)
1. Lowepro Slingshot 200 All Weather Backpack
Perfect for photojournalists, the SlingShot 200 AW uses a unique sling design to go from “carry mode” to “ready mode” in just seconds. Carried comfortably on the back, it easily rotates to the front so you can get to your camera quickly. The SlingShot 200 AW holds an SLR with mid-range zoom lens attached, 3-4 extra lenses, cables and accessories, and has a full access lid to make loading it a snap.
2. Lowepro Slingshot 100 All Weather Camera Backpack
The Slingshot 100 AW is a sling style camera bag just like the Slingshot 200. It is designed to comfortably carry a digital SLR with mid-range zoom lens attached, 1 – 2 extra lenses, cables and accessories.
3. Lowepro Topload Zoom 1 Camera Bag
This bag is a compact carry bag with a sporty design. It holds a compact SLR with a wide-angle lens or compact zoom. It’s a compact holster-style SLR shoulder bag that’s a perfect companion for travel and outdoor photography.
4. Lowepro Flipside 300 Backpack
The unique back compartment entry gives you safe, easy access to camera gear when you’re setting up plus extra security when you’re on the move. It holds 1 Pro DSLR with 300mm f/2.8 lens attached plus 1-3 additional lenses or flash units, 1 tripod, multiple cables, memory cards, manuals and other digital accessories.
5. Lowepro Cirrus TLZ 15 Holster Style Case For Digital SLR & Short Zoom Lens
This bag easily protects both SLR and lens from the outside elements. The exterior of the bag is built with a tough water and abrasion resistant fabric and can be attached through either a belt-loop or with an included shoulder strap.
6. Lowepro Fastpack 250
This bag can carry 1 digital SLR with a mid-range zoom lens attached plus 2-3 additional lenses or flash units (up to a 70-300 f/4.5, 15.4″ widescreen notebook, memory cards, batteries and cables).
7. Caselogic SLRC-202 Medium SLR Camera Bag
This bag is compatible with most SLRs with a zoom lens. It has a hammock system that suspends your SLR above the bottom of case, providing superior impact protection.
