You could win $100,000 from Nikon for a 140 second video. They are promoting the Nikon D5000 SLR camera (because it has a cool video feature) and they would like you to show them “A Day Through Your Lens”.

Upload your video to www.nikonfestival.com

What is your day like? How do you see your world? Shoot a video of 140 seconds or less and upload it to their site. It can be humorous, or sentimental, or artistic, but it needs to have impact.

Show your stuff, show what’s not your stuff, show your problems, or your solutions…. you choose.

The cool thing about the contest is there are 2 prizes. One for $100,000 picked by judges, and one for $25,000 picked by your social media network friends. How popular are you?

If your video gets the most views and gets the highest ratings, you’ll get the $25,000. So get your friends voting!

After you upload it, Nikon lets you automatically share it with Twitter an Facebook so your friends can vote on your video.

You don’t have to use a Nikon camera, but you will be judged on image quality, originality and whether or not you “captured your day”. They do have a warning against using images or music without permission.

But you have to move fast. The contest ends December 15th, 2009 with the 50 finalists getting picked by December 22, 2009. If you’re one of the finalists, your friends and family to go back and vote again.

To get the contest details, go to Nikon Festival and start shooting.
